It's probably your solid cast iron ingot under the bonnet. My 1.6 HDI understeers on hard(& I mean hard) bends but the wheel is steady as a rock.

I've got a 03 multispace forte 1.9 d and it does the same - Has brand new tyres on the front and tracking was sorted at the time also - he did say it was a fair bit off originally.

I'm not sure but it might have disappeared for a few weeks but its certainly back now! not a clue what the problem is - going to see ATS again and see if the trackings been knocked out!?

hi my 2003 berlingo does the same i have fitted new tyres etc still the same .did have a broken spring but still the same what did help a bit was to bleed the power steering, all you do is jack up the front and with the engine running go from lock to lock a few times,i have just replaced the drop links but have not used it yet

My 03 Multispace is exactly the same. I've heard the drive shaft cv joint can seize and cause this problem. How did you get on with the allignment. Any better?

my wobble is still there not really had it looked at.... It has been a lot of miles and I am not that bothered now..
Might have some new tires soon and get the tracking done just for the fun...

all your Berlingo's are baby's at that sort of mileage.... Tongue

I hve had a similar problems on both m49's the 1.9d and the 2.0Hdi I noticed either at rest (waiting at a junction with a little lock on etc) or at low speed with very little lock on it felt like the power seering pulsing the steering wheel with no effect on the actual steering. But saying that the 2.0 knocked out the outside edge of the passenger front tyre within 6 months! and when the tracking was checked it was a gnat's under 1deg out so it makes a big difference. it was ok until I replaced both lower wishbone's (built in ball joints!) as I didnt diconnect the track rod ends I foolishly thought it would be ok, the moral is if you do any work in this area it pays to get the tracking checked. Also the bloke at tyre place said they had been getting quite a bit of business like this from the state of our roads as the size of the potholes where affecting the tracking on lot of cars.
