Revvs / Fuel
#1
My 1.9d was starting to rev quite erratically. I would accelerate and the engine would almost extend the revvs, then when I stopped and tried to start it was as if it was struggling to get fuel and struggling to start and cutting out. The diesel light wasnt on but probably wasnt far away. Anyway I got to the station and filled with diesel and is now driving totally fine again...
Anyone any ideas what happened???

Sucking up muck in bottom of tank? One reason for not running on fumes :-)

Shouldn't be much 'muck' in the bottom of a plastic fuel tank? Should there?
Depending when it was last serviced, I would inspect/change the fuel filter.
