Grizz' Prozac for the Soul - Berlingo Multispace
I think you need to adopt another cat Grizz there are so many in rescue centres that need a home. So many centres are in lock down which makes things difficult though.
Are we there yet????? Huh

I have said that if one walked in, like they do, it is welcome to move in.

The various charitable institutions don’t  do themselves any favours with expensive adoption processes and insisting on blood samples and dna samples from potential adopters.

Now to find a cat who likes an easy life.

Firstly. Be safe and sensible.

Another walk

And the church converted to a home from a different angle.

Long overdue carving.

This COVID 19 pandemic has allowed me to take a bit of time to create a Tiki Racer garden ornament.

Inspired by Mr Tiki, and a toy I bought at a boot fair years go.

[Image: 8D7C5215-254A-4CAC-BEFD-20B571DB2FFD_zpsvluymsk0.jpg]

So I went down to my pile of blocks.

Pulled a special one out

[Image: 783136A1-67B3-4283-B387-C84CFE5336E0_zpsalxjaqut.jpg]

Basic design

[Image: D4A98F40-FD7A-4F7B-A187-5F7D21C3B8F8_zpsbyv8nmlu.jpg]

Excess cut away.

[Image: 978EB72F-AF04-4941-AEB0-CCBFD1FE4A09_zps9iozuyau.jpg]

Of course cutting this part between the wheels will be interesting

[Image: 90EF9B22-6F0C-490B-B5A2-AE732B7C52F7_zpsbozl872m.jpg]

Baby steps.

[Image: EE02C56D-9AB5-4C78-9206-785DE34063B4_zpskhohvjjd.jpg]

Seat cut out.

[Image: E33ED44F-8CD1-4159-A4EA-727944DB23CB_zpslxxtkh9i.jpg]

Quick prototype Tiki driver from an off cut.

[Image: 0AEFE094-D782-4B57-8A91-5CEAC95441CE_zpsmcmxzfxe.jpg]

Shaped.

[Image: 5FDC5341-BA46-410E-BB2C-B2EDECB9272D_zpssax1kenu.jpg]

And in place.

[Image: DE4DD0A1-C03C-4227-9054-D7A2969D30B9_zps2npyjxcc.jpg]

At this point I come inside.

Tomorrow the hard part starts, carving and defining the wheels, recessing the drivers cab and seat.

Plus getting the front and rear curves just right.

Later.

This looks like it will be great, is it made from a celcon block? Nice to briefly see you in Morrison's the other week when I was doing shopping for my parents who are self isolating.

Good to meet you too Mike.

Yes the block is Breeze Block if that is the other name for Celcon.

Part 2

Cutting the block to get the wheels standing out.

Bit chilly on the drive early morning

Filleted.

Carefully trimming away bit by bit.

Plan was to make the race number a 19 but the 9 is hard to do with the material so 7 it is.

Lots of time spent fine tuning and getting it just right today.

Done

It will need something on it as the blocks are not for external use, unless they are rendered it will gradually dissolve.
So where does this bit go then ?
