Berlingl0w - B9 Berlingo Lowered on 19’s
#21
Next up will be splitting and painting some of the headlight internals.
I was also looking off an XTR bumper but I’ve managed to source some of the vast range of custom Berlingo/Partner parts that are manufactured and sold in domestically in Turkey (since they’re so popular over there) and will have some parts shipped over in February, once I’ve got the bits for the front end, I’ll add fog lights and DLR then colour code.

Agreed! I’ve decided I’ll go down the route of compressing the springs as some have done.

If anyone has any company’s they know whom do this, please do let me know. Thanks in advance.

Are adjustable coil overs available for them?

Those custom parts sound interesting do you have any pics of what you have ordered?

Not as far as I understand, there are no bolt on kits. Front coil overs from another Citroen can go in the front though I believe but nothing for the rear. Zion is pretty clued up on this.

They aren’t ordered yet, will be collected in Feb, it’s a really long story but this is about the size of it;

FRONT SPLITTER (Many available)

REAR DIFFUSER

I thought so too. I think I’ll mould the splitter into the bumper as a permanent fixture and then also add an Ibiza Cupra MK1 black plastic splitter to it, depends, will see where the ride height sits.

The Peugeot 307 coilover kit fits the front of the B9, but the rear suspension is independent springs and shocks, the only vehicle with the same rear setup is the C4 Grand Picasso for which no one makes a short rear shock (307 springs are too short to be under load).

Plus for a separate coil and shock, a coilover won't fit. This is the lowered 307 spring with standard shock, needed a tie wire to stop the spring falling out on full droop. (fitted to a B9 rear end - note the bump-stops are completely removed. This was Jonathan Creith's van "Black Beauty" before it got air-ride fitted)

Novak’s do a full coil over kit but it’s completely top secret, won’t mail order, only in-house fitment.

I know, I've spoken to Jim Novak about that. He was heading to making a commercially available kit but the pandemic struck and it was put on hold. They modify your own shocks, that's what they did to another lads van - so far I've seen one completed.

They shorten the factory rear shocks. Or at least produce a custom shortened shock from new parts. The big issue with the B9 is the rear shocks have an eyelet at both ends, of 2 x different diameters. This is different from any vehicle in the range except for the C4 GP. The 307 uses a pin at one end and an eyelet at the other. I've contacted every shock absorber manufacturer there is and all replied that they don't make or supply anything for the B9 rear except the standard unit length.

That's how this one was done: (Novaks rears & 307 fronts)
