Partner Camper Build
#1
A little review of my camper build. Tried to keep it short. Just ask if you would like more info.

I must thank Gravity and his B9 Camper build thread. I basically used his blueprint, very helpful! His thread is here https://www.berlingoforum.com/thread-16358.html

First item I made was my own take on amdro rear window cupboard. Pleased with how it came out. (Inside of window was covered with reflectix)

Went on to build the rear boot section. Went with a full length draw on the left side for stove, cutlery and storage. The right side is half sized pull out tray to hold water container and rest a cut out for storage tray.

Added the hinged bed fold out panels. I left in the factory seats to give the bed more support

Test of the install in seat mode

Same ebay foam to make bed as gravity used - thanks! Just gut with large scissors

I used online guides and my brothers advice from his solar leisure battery install. Ebay 80w solar panel. It is flexible but a solid one might have been better in hindsight

Below is the leisure battery, solar controller, fuse box and the fridge in the background. (hadnt finished wiring in the picture. Split charger and additional wiring added after picture)

White led string lights in front area of the van. The rear has an ebay RGB remote led light setup

The control panel for lights/usb. The fridge and solar weren't wired in the end but there in case I want them in future. The modutop roof windows covered with reflictix style stuff from toolstation. Also used for front and some rear windows

Front curtain installed and the cushions upholstered at local place

First trip out with the van. All went well. Can see finished table and some window cover solutions.

Thanks. Adam

Thanks guys.

Its only had 1 trip as I have been away and taken ages to change the clutch. A trip this month and Europe next should be a good test of usefulness

Thought I would update this thread a little. The mini camper has been doing well. It has had various UK trips and even a long old Euro trip to Hungary for the 2019 Grand Prix.

For the Europe trip I had added a new headunit with bluetooth, 206 steering wheel and also cruise control. After that trip I added a small 4x4 adventure style side awning, see below

Nothing much changed until the cheap ebay solar panel started going cloudy. At the same time I needed a bit more storage space so decided to try and mount a new solar panel on top of a roof box.

A successful trip to the Lake District this year (apart from the rain!)

Next up I need some new tyres so have decided to treat it to some new wheels with chunky tyres with a new more 'all terrain' style. Hopefully it comes out looking ok....stand by for further updates!

Cheers
