2.0 Hdi timing belt change intervals

Interested to know people's recommendations for timing belt change intervals ( mileage / age ) on a 2.0Hdi Berlingo .
Haynes manual says Citroen say every 96000 miles , but Haynes  recommend reducing that to 48000 miles , bearing in mind the potential for engine damage if it breaks ....
My belt was last changed 7 years ago & has currently done 46000 miles ....

DIY ??? if so just do it ..................... especially if a keeper.

The rule of thumb that I use is 100k miles or 10 years whichever comes soonest. Unless you've just bought the car / van and it's getting close to those limits in which case I'd do it straight away.
