Windscreen wipers banging
#1
Hi

Our windscreen wipers work but every now and then they bang into the end of the windscreen on the drivers side as they sweep.  This can last for a few sweeps or for longer but then another time they'll work normally with no banging into the edge.
The motor seems OK as it's happily swinging the wipers back and forth.

It's not a major problem just very annoying if it rains for any length of time when travelling.

Does any one have the same problem?  Any idea why it happens and/or how to stop it?

Thanks

You could just try moving the wiper up slightly on the spline, it might have been put back in the incorrect position in the past after removal.

Mark the position of the wiper in the 'off position' by putting a piece of masking tape each side of the wiper blade. Undo the nut holding the wiper blade on and slightly reposition it a little higher on the spline than the original marked position and then refit the nut and try when it next rains to see if it is still hitting?
