Drive shaft gaiter clamp
#1
Went to my local Citroen dealer to day with a broken gaiter clamp to have it replaced under Citroen select warranty they told warranty did not cover the clamp as it was wear and tear £46.20 to fit the clamp i told them it was wear and tear if the rubber gaiter had failed but the clamp was component failure they said pay now and they would try to claim it back as luck would have it i had the warranty with me looking at the small print it said if the car would fail an MOT with in the 12 months of perches they would cover it i pointed this out he went a way to make a phone call came back said all covered under warranty :woop: :woop: So all ways look at the small print

It's a real shame when business start acting like that. Poisons the goodwill.

While my car was under warranty I always found an email to Citroen UK via their website worked wonders. The dealer was erring on side of caution as if they do warranty work not ok'ed by Citroen UK then they don't get paid. In the past I had gear lever gaiter split, told by dealer not covered as cosmetic, email to Citroen & dealer is phoning to bring it in for warranty repair.

A bit of goodwill go's a long way but no you've got to fight to get things done all you need is to be treated fair do i take it to them 30 day's before mot run's out for an mot and if it failed do tell them they can fix it under warranty?? is that fair . When service time comes around do i take it to them yes if they looked after me if not look for some one else .
