Centre Display
#1
Hi
Got 14plate Enterprise van. Went to car wash tonight (manual washing, not brush machine) and after starting up the centre display is like this. Doesn't go off. Everything works as it should otherwise, no other display issues. Water ingress to electrics or pure coincidence? My only worry is battery being drained overnight. Van is, obviously, under warranty but being so busy it's difficult to find time to let van go off the road. There is an independent specialist garage near me who could no doubt give advice and a solution, but just wanted to flag it up here in case anyone has had a similar experience and what was done to sort it. It's going to be a bit of a pain not having the clock or radio display, far less a drain on the battery

Thanks, folks

You can try disconnecting battery for 10mins. On mine its just a quick release on front terminal. This should reset ecu & might solve it. Once you have done that you will need to re programme key as well I think, in order for remote locking to work. Easy enough, instructions in handbook.

Well, the good news is that it started no problem this morning, after sitting 12 hours with that backlight on during a cold frosty night. It obviously isn't draining much from the battery which is a great relief as I need it for work.

Think it's going to be a case of tracing the relevant fuse and removing it and putting it back. Trip to the shops for a Haynes manual today I think.

14 plate is still under warranty, take it in and get it looked at if it's not a simple fix.
So where does this bit go then ?

That's certainly the plan. I was hoping for a simple fix as the nearest dealer is about 10 miles away, and it's difficult to do without it for any length of time (I am a self employed dog walking and pet services business)

Have you tried disconnecting battery as suggested?

If its still under warranty take it back don't try and repair it yourself dealers love having an excuse not to repair something under warranty.

I have a 2013 model which is no longer under warranty, and the display is showing exactly the same as in the starting post on this thread. Can anybody confirm if disconnecting the battery will help?

I can confirm it!  Disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, reconnected and everything's back as it should be.  The only thing I needed to do was reset the clock.

May I ask why a 2013 model is not still covered? Should have three years warranty from Citroen..
