Adding another accessory socket in boot area

Ok thanks. So it all seems quite do-able I think. I don't need to disconnect the battery (pull up and lift off flap on the battery + terminal) before starting - as the 12v accessory feeds only go live with ignition on - is that right? Sorry if this is a dumb question
