[Steering & Suspension] Lowering axle berlingo/partner mk2

Is it possible to lower the rear axle by the nick method ? On a peugeot 306 axle you can simply undo the two nuts on either end of torsion bar and smack of the trailing arms and reinsert the torsion bar , will only slide back in at 3 places but is a 15minute job . I know it is not great for the arm bearings but can it be done on one of these axles , thanks
