[Engine] 5 clean starts, ECU question

I know some folks say it's either working or broke, but this might be an odd case.

Now I know--don't ever clean the MAF sensor on the car.  I did that at the same time as 1 vacuum line reconnect and I can't isolate which of those two actions caused the power loss at high RPMs.

I've searched the googles and downloaded 2 manuals in mht format and nothing publishes the correct voltage range.

You can test MAF sensor only with oscilloscope! And you can clen it wth carb cleaner.
I have done it numerous time on wide range of cars. First 2 times I have broke the MAF
sensor because I haven't wached the youtube from ScannerDanner:

Really? I saw videos showing how to test with voltmeter. Scope might be for a newer frequency-type MAF, but this old 2004 1.9D might use a hot wire type MAF, no?

Thanks HDI that's helpful. And a note from ffrenchie told me that the volts range probably should be around .8v - 4.5 or 5v so perhaps that justifies me getting a replacement. Thanks guys, this forum is super helpful.

UPDATE: Voltage reading on the new 3rd party MAF sensor for Berlingo is the same as on the old Audi MAF sensor that came with my 1.9 DWY: 2.6v at idle and 4.1v at open throttle. I'm perplexed. I thought for sure it would be closer to 1-5v.

So the MAF sensor apparently wasn't the source of the power loss after all Iny case.

Yes I did 5 clean starts after installing the new MAF sensor.
