[Engine] 2011 Injector leaking (1.6)
#11
It's a multispace, but it's not under warranty, it's almost 4 years old.

I am planning to take the end connector off later this morning and have a close look at it, I'll let you know.

You may be right and I may just be better off getting a new leak off set from Citroen, I have seen single connectors on ebay, but it's probably not worth messing about with.

Need a new set anyway now as I broke the next connector down trying to get the 1st one off!

Yes they have a habit of doing that they are sh1t!

When you have changed the rail make sure you bleed it though as they can be a pig to start, not always but some can be a real pig.

Ahh, how do I bleed it please?

They are sh1t, penny pinching. V annoying.

I did have a close look at the offending connector btw, when I took it off. I couldn't see anything wrong with it. It seemed to click in properly and wasn't damaged, the pipe or connector wasn't blocked. The O ring looked fine as well.
It's a mystery.

Does anyone know if there is a better quality replacement, or I am just going for the Citroen crappy version?

the best way to bleed them is put some kind of suction device on the fuel filter outlet - a decent primer bulb will do then when you have fuel there reconnect the outlet pipe and pump the built in primer several times. This should give it a good shot at starting but you may need to crank it for a bit. Some go no problem but some are a pain.

As far as the leak off pipework is concerned get a genuine citroen one.

Well, firstly thank you all for your advice.

I've fitted the new leak off kit and it seems fine.

Musings....
When I got the new pipework I inspected it and found that the No 4 take off was just as loose clip in as the old one, but... the other 3 were really firm, clipped in fine. There seems to be a design fault on the single take off tap.

But, I couldn't remove the other 3 existing ones without huge amounts of force (considering what they are) and I think I may not have fitted the original No 4 back properly, You seem to have to pull the black bit right out till the O ring is almost touching it, then push the green bit fully in and really really force the black bit down as hard as possible.

Considering the pictures I have seen of older ones, where you have a metal clip holding it in, this is a step backwards and explains the failure of mine.

I hope this may help someone else, who may well have the same problem at some point.
