Help with oil choice please.

Hi One and all,
Just took over ownership of a 2004 2.0 HDI Desire. Just wondering if its possible to get hold of the cover that goes over the engine bay. Its the plastic one with 2.0 hdi written on it. Also can you advise Me on which oil I can use in this engine please.

I asked this question of my repairer and basically you can safely use any oil that meets the
" PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN B71 2290 " standard.
Citroen, of course, recommend Total Ineo but I think that their Quartz 9000 also suits your
engine. At the moment my engine has Halfords own in it as they do an oil thats meets the
right spec. However if you buy on line from Neilson CDG they are cheaper (including delivery to you door).

Important Note: Despite selling a suitable oil (above) if you use Halfords 'Which oil' on line service it recommends an unsuitable type.
