Haha no worries, I had the same issue looking for a blower motor - complete rubbish was spouted by every garage and motor factor.
I ended up getting the part number from Catcar and saying "just give me this item here. Yes I know you say it isn't the right thing. Yes I understand I picked it. No you don't know best. Thanks"
