Has anyone made their own shelf to have behind the backseats?
Thinking to make my own to reduce some backwheel noise.
If anyone made their own or have picture of original that would be helpfull.
They seem to be rare here or expensive. Mine came without ️?

Never heard the expression "hat shelf" but if you mean the folding cargo area cover, then yes they were in both the B9's I owned. Most people take them out all the time they own the vehicle and put them back to sell, I don't think mine reduced noise significantly. There are a few on eBay for around £110 but suggest not to pay that much, just wait for one come up cheaper on this site, eBay, or FB marketplace

I suppose it makes as much sense as "parcel shelf" (I really never put parcels there) and "glove box" (never needed a box for my gloves) - probably a literal translation of the Norwegian term for it.

Ours is the M59 and has the roller blind type luggage cover. I don't think it stops much noise but I have found it gets louder when I put the back seats down. I put an extra layer of mat down and I think that helps as well
So where does this bit go then ?

We made one for a Vauxhall using MDF, it was to hold a couple of speakers in my daughter's car and worked well. It was measured up and cut out with a jigsaw then covered in carpet.
