I hope this is the right thread for my issue.
My sliding door has become difficult to open. I have to use lot of force to pull the door handle to get the door open. The door opens nicely from the inside.
I Have heard of "pin bolt" that needs to be replaced. Anyone have tips on what to check or order here? Link to eBay would be greatly appreciated.
Applies to a 2010 Dangel Peugot Partner 4X4. Sliding door, right side and driver seat at left side.

Is there a how to video or photos available for this please? The rear sliding door on my Peugeot Partner 2010 is requiring a lot of pulling of the external handle to open. I am unsure how to remove sliding door panel to remove. I can only find 1 x 6 pointed star bolt. Any help would be appreciated!

You might find there is another screw under the interior pull handle trim (which should pull off), and the panel itself is likely held on with white trim clips round the edge, you should use a plastic body trim tool to prise it away from the door all round the sides and bottom, the the screw near the rear of the door and the one under the handle trim (if there is one there) will let you lift the panel up and off - if it is like the front door panels. I thought about taking mine off, as the lower center panel rattles but it seems to be open along the bottom with a rubber strip between itself and the main door panel, where the cable runs behind for the central locking.

Hi. Sorry if this is a daft question but the sliding door handle will not work from the outside. I dismantled the door today and got the handle out no problem. It would appear that pin is the problem. But I could not remove the pin. I managed to release the 2 plastic clips at the bottom holding it in place but couldn't get the pin out after this. Is there something I'm doing wrong or does anyone have any tips? Looked everywhere for photos or a video and no luck. Thanks. Bex

Hi Bex, Is this a pivot pin for the handle movement you mean? Can you post a pic of the part or problem? Use the big "new reply" button and you'll get a new box for the message with buttons to upload an attachment.

It's been around 18 months since I changed a door handle pin so memory a bit foggy sorry, however it wasn't that difficult to do I recall only very basic tools.
One bit of advice I can give you on reassembly is that it is worth leaving the door card off for a few days in case you need to make a fine adjustment to the linkage rods, it can make the doors easier to shut fully in one go without slamming the door to get it fully shut.
My wife loves slamming doors Dodgy Dodgy Dodgy
edit : do a search for Berlingo Door Pin on Ebay and take a look at it, you'll see there are protruding areas along the pin perhaps these are snagging slightly. Try rotating slightly as you extract.
Another edit : When buying a pin always buy another as a spare in case the other door pin fails they are as cheap as chips.

Thanks for the help. I actually had to put the door back together yesterday. I can open it from the inside. Yeah I've looked up the ones on ebay Geoff but it was proving really difficult to budge no matter what I did and didn't want to cause more damage as needed to be able to put the handle back on and ensure it locked. On my next day's off I'll try again. It wasn't particularly difficult to dismantle and reassemble. Hopefully I can make the pin budge next time.
Unfortunately zion I'm struggling to upload a picture
Thanks Bex

Oddly enough, now I've tried the usual "New Reply" button, the upload attachment panel has disappeared? Can any mods reading this check out what's wrong? I can't upload an attachment or pictures either. I used it earlier and it worked fine, now it's gone (while using the phone Google browser anyway)
EDIT: it is only not there if you use the email link to load the forum, but if you use Google Chrome directly to access the post, the upload buttons are fine.

Hi! Newbie here. I’ve got as far as taking the door panel off and the door handle. What next? Should I try and unhook the rods in the 2 plastic squares? I have my pin, just waiting! Thanks
