Lidl Aluminium Roof Bars

Mk 2 Modutop rails have to be removed and relocated to change from fore/aft fitting to cross roof fitting, they do not simply swivel. The fixing set screw centers differ between the two arrangements. There should be an allen key located in the rear roof storage bin to fit the set screws.
I use lengths of pipe insulation ( for 22mm or 28mm pipe ) to protect bars from damage by the load ( ladders etc )

Just noticed on a Lidl flyer pushed through my door that they are selling horizontal roof bars to attach to cars that already have roof rails

They are £26.99 and have a maximum roof width of 1070mm, but I don't know whether these will fit

The centre to centre measurement of the mk3 rails is about 1050mm to 1060mm

Might just pop in and see if they are big enough
