Bought a 2003 Berlingo desire today!
A slack 500 mile round trip to collect, so I hired a car for the drive down. Left the house at 5am, got to Sunderland at 9.30 (sat nav said 5.45 hours so was somewhat early). I'm more than a little tired as the weather was properly bad all the way.
It's blue with brown/grey seats and the modutop. 2.0Hdi with 108k miles.
I'll change the tyres this week for something decent, there are 4 different crap makes on the car just now.
There are a couple of small teething problems, the handling is a little loose at the back so I'll see if the tyres make a big difference then look at the rear shocks, I take it they're not hard to change?
The rear screen wash washes the front, as does the front.
Also the central locking button inside the car does nothing, don't know if odd electrical faults could be related?
I'll be fitting a better stereo that can link to my ipod and better speakers in the front as they're a little crackly. I was surprised how cheap these Ipod/bluetooth radios are!
Overall I'm quite happy with the little car. The engine pulls well and once I get the handling sorted I think it'll be a good laugh on the backroads to the hills.
