Update: tried heat to break the loctite: going to replace oil seal anyway, and got 3 studs out with hammer and punch. Remaining 3 won't shift. Leaving it alone for a while now to avoid making any dras...

This is a good bed design. I was thinking kind of along thise lines but fitted higher up to allow for more storage ans a slide out camp kitchen unit in the boot.
