well done mine has a code but no mil too after blanking the egr
if its anything like my 1.7cdti the ecu uses the maf signal to assess that if egr was working or not, at idle the maf reading would be 12gms/sec with the egr blanked and 6gms/sec with it unblanked (ie 50% egr and 50% fresh air)
so when blanked the ecu flagged an 0400 egr code and limpmode, the only cure was an egr delete remap or drill holes into the blanking plate, but instead i placed a small piece of masking tape onto the grille in front of the maf so that the reading at idle was reduced to 6gms/sec = no limpmode
