[Engine] Slow start from ECO
#2
(26-08-2019, 01:12 PM)rnamman Wrote:  My 2014 VTR 1.6 auto (39K) generally runs very well. It usually does a non-stop 75 mile each way trip on clear roads each week when I give it a blast to clear the particulate filter.

But sometimes, not just warm days, it almost stalls when trying to accelerate quickly at a T junction or when joining a busy roundabout.

Waiting stationary for a few minutes the ECO system stops the engine, but when a suitable gap in traffic would allow me to nip forward, the engine just seems to stumble and do nothing for a second or two, making the situation dangerous.

It's always been regularly serviced by the main Citroen dealers, and is garaged for most of the time. I fill up with Esso premium diesel when it gets to half-full. So any ideas? It's going to have new front pads in November and if it's a known fault I'd like to get it sorted while at the dealership.

you can disengage the eco start stop, in a european car at the left side of the steering wheel. For english car see manual. Then you don't loose the seconds to restart.
