The new instrument cluster I’ve got is from a 2007 1.6 HDi and my car is a 2004 2.0 HDi. Are you suggesting it won’t be compatible at all?
Thank you for your help, by the way. I do genuinely really appreciate it! Next step is to work out how to dismantle the clusters without snapping the needles off!

When you said the 2L (original) instrument cluster is working with the CC, do you get any confirmation on the instrument cluster? For example a small green CC icon or something different on the trip computer odometer display? Probably the certain way to test it is to try it.

The first time I tried it I snapped one of them, but glued it with super glue. You may find other methods to work better.
