I ripped out the stereo/cassette from my 53 plate as soon as I got it. Seriously... Who was still listening to cassette tapes in 2003!!!??
Anyway, it's an Alpine, ida-x305, few years old as I also had it in my previous car.
Fitting was easy (disconnect battery or remove stereo fuse first though) , from memory it plugged straight into the existing harness.
If I want to retain use of the stalk controls I need to buy an additional harness, but the stereo is easily within arms reach so it's no hardship (and its cheaper) to just change settings with my left hand.
Bluetooth depends on which head unit you buy, mine has an iPhone/iPod connector, so no need for it really.

Personally I'd look at Alpine & Pioneer head units.

Just bought an '07 van. It's the 'basic' model. And guess what? It's got the cassette version fitted! Halfords seem to do some decent stereos, so I'll get one when funds allow...

Car audio direct is far superior to hellfrauds and the service should be spot on! Defo don't let hellfrauds fit it, trained monkeys do a better job!

As for stereo fitting... You need to swap a few pins over in the radio ios block wiring loom, the accessory feed isn't where it should be in the vans wiring, a multimeter will sort you out... Don't use a test light as there's multiplex wiring in the plug and you don't want to damage that side of the van....

As for stereos, jvc, alpine, pioneer and kenwood are in the main part useable with the comm stereo controls, the adaptors often do the wiring correction I previously mentioned Wink Sony stereos may also be able to utilise the display aswell via the bus connection on the rear of the stereo, but check that as I've been out of touch for a few yrs

Hope this helps
