Compressor frigde between front seats
#1
Hi everyone,
i saw on vanderer.eu web site that they put de 16l compressor fridge between front seats on Berlingo III (after 2018).
I try to find such fridge on the web, but i can't find it.
Does anyone has already put fridge like this, between front seat ? and if you do it, can you give me please reference of this fridge.

Many thanks.

Hi Bruno,

I can't find a picture on the site you linked, but I've just picked up the 8L of this:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bodega-Camping-...BLQXN?th=1

This just fits between the front seats of my B9 2009 XTR, after removing the Citroen arm rests. The Amazon reviews have a few pictures, including one of these installed in a Peugeot Partner (Berlingo copy).

Not sure how much the K9 differs... I've seen posts on here with people here using the B9 storage bin on later models, so there's a chance this will work for you too. It's the smallest compressor fridge I can find for this gap, and I've been looking for a little while.

Let me know if you have any questions, or need pictures.

Good luck!

Edit:
Just seen they only offer the coolbox on models without a manual handbrake. Makes sense how they can offer a 16L model, because the handbrake takes up a lot of space in that area. Without a handbrake, you could probably fit the larger version of the one I linked to. Measurements are on the Amazon link.

Hello Frederic,
thank you very much for these information.

This fridge stays in your Berlingo III, between front seats ? Do you have seat with armrest or not ?

If yes, can you send me pictures of installation of this fridge in you car ? (i'm afraid that size of the fridge is not compatible with armrest)

Thanks again.

Hi Bruno - sorry for late reply - was on vacation ... Cool

The armrests were removed for placing the fridge between the seats - and the top of the fridge can now be used as new armrest (btw. I like it).
Afaik they (Vanderer) use also a kit to mount this fridge. With this box can be removed if needed.

I hope this helps. Cheers, HP.

Sorry to bring back an old thread, I just brought a 2013 XTR and working out how I want to adapt it for camping.
Just wondering how you fitted the fridge as it looks a very tight squeeze at 24cm wide, did you remove just the storage bin or the plastic surround it mounts on too? Plus how do you find using the hand brake with it in place?

Grateful for any advice/pictures you could share  as this fridge looks perfect for my needs with the included wireless charger.
