I have a proper Citroen Actia interface, not a Chinese copy. The software I posted on the forum for anyone who already had an interface.

You should buy the full kit off eBay and see how you get on. Best of luck. We can only help so much on a forum.
So am I correct in thinking your pump isn't working too? Are you adding your addictive into the tank when refuelling?

Regarding the software is it the 7.57 link you posted? Also can you share a link on which diagbox cable to purchase. Plenty of different versions on ebay.
It detects the cap being removed from the tank..
The sensor is on the tank neck. How are you going to put fuel in it, without it knowing? Fuel gauge goes up, no matter what you do, the BSI knows.

I just refuel, it works for about 4 tanks then flags engine fault. You are on your own buddy, you decide what to use..I am not telling you which one to try. Not my job. (We don't get paid for this - we are volunteers)

You decide. I take no responsibility for anything you read here. You are in charge of what you do.

As Zion said, you need an Actia full-chip rev-C adaptor.
In other words, it must be the full-chip version, i.e. with a full complement of chips without any missing to save the maker some money (the ad photos should show the chips).
And it should also be rev C, not any other rev or no rev stated.

If you still find various offerings all meeting those specs but at different prices, then select one based on your background research of the seller, especially feedback left by other customers. Cheapest does not always mean best after-sales service.

If Zion posted a link to the Diagox program then he won't have pointed you wrongly.
Where he says update it to 7.62 and stop, he means don't update it any further - later updates have less functionality.
7.57 will be good as well.
Most online offerings will boast much higher update numbers, but don't go beyond 7.62.

A small tip - buy a cheap used laptop to install it on for convenience. All you need is Win XP (some offerings can work on later versions of Win as well), one USB socket, and a good battery (that's the hard part). You don't need wi-fi - in fact keep the program well away from the internet when installing it and when using it - remember it is pirated and if you let it get anywhere near Citroen's websites things will not go well.

Thought 1: would fixing a tiny coin size magnet near the sensor trick it?

Thought 2: if a plastic cap eventually stops fooling it, then maybe there's a second signal being derived from somewhere. Fuel tank? Fuel gauge?

Fair enough guys, ill go with what I think is the correct cable based on the sellers feedback. But if your trying to trick the system, clearly the fluids not been added when refuelling? So dont you run the risk of the DPF clogging up and dropping into limp mode?

I can't answer that, I have a petrol model.

One last question the cable comes with version 7.62 on vmware as recommended. Do I need to install the lower version first and update?

No if it's a VM version then you don't need to do anything to it, only run the VM in VMWare Player, and pass the interface to it using the menu "Player / Removable devices / Connect / Actia100" or what ever it calls the USB interface in the player (it has an odd name) - it's been a while since I set mine up so can't remember the name but it's time to reset the pump again today, so I'll have a look.

Then pick your vehicle, let it do it's global scan, after that you can go to engine control / replacement parts menu and repair operations / new multiplexed additive pump installed, it will prompt you with the software, then clear the codes. If you're lucky and the comms are fine, then it will clear an all will be well.

If not, it will fire the fault code the next time you fuel up, or at some point after fuelling up. Mine used to do it once in a blue moon, now it's all the time.

It will still regen with the fault cleared, but if you don't clear the fault then the "risk of clogging" will continue till it goes to limp mode.

Also at 100k miles it will always assume the tank is depleted and throw this message too, since a full lot of Eolys lasts 100k miles, I noticed that's where yours is at so it could just be that.

Mine is at 70k so it's genuinely faulty, not just hit the 100k - it's programmed to squawk at you (which they all are by the way) when that mileage is reached, also it will start to rant on about the DPF being full of ash and service life expired etc at 100k. This is standard behaviour. Again you need to get the DPF cleaned out and tell it that the DPF was replaced, using Diagbox or the squawking continues, followed by a countdown to no-start..

100k is a barrel of fun with a Citroen diesel, that's likely why people get rid at that point - probably after clearing the codes. But they come right back.

You use a jerry can and fill it up in the morning without unlocking the van just open by inserting the key into the fuel cap lock and refueling from the jerry can without putting the ignition on or opening the doors?

Just more curious than anything else.

The BSI is never completely off, unless you disconnected the battery. Then maybe it wouldn't notice. There's a sensor which picks up the cap being there, or not. Fitting a plastic cap got me away with it for a while, till about the 4th tankfull of diesel it realised I've been filling up and the cap has gone AWOL, now the complaints started again.

Think of the BSI as a French windows PC hiding in the glovebox, watching your every move.
