I can get my car adequately clean using 2 buckets of water and a sponge. The bits I can't see don't matter. Beats me why it should take much more than that.

We're out in sticksville and theres mud all over the road in wet weather which turns to dust in dry times.
Carwashing is a futile way of scouring the paint off.
As such our vehicles get washed just before a service then fully cleaned just before trade in.
It is on my to do list.
But not right at the top
