Rev counter
#1
My rev counter doesn't work. Is there a common issue or any pointers to where the sensor/connectors are?

Thanks
Mark.

Ive had a look through my haynes manual and that was about as much use as a chocolate teapot about rev counters. Lets hope rustscrat comes along to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the reply anyway as I was considering buying a Haynes to help me out with it but guess I will wait for my next fault before shelling out on one.

Hi, This is for the 1.9D XUD9 engine, non Bsi.
Item 1400 is the sensor for the tacho, described as a "Top dead centre sensor".
You should be able to check this with an ohm meter of some kind.
Two of the 3 pins should read approx 200 ohms if I can remember.
Think there is another post with a link to a you tube vid. about this.
