Alloy Wheel Fitment
#1
HI all i have a 2004 Berlingo 2.0 HDi and am wanting some alloys but i am unsure of fitment due to not understanding offset and other factors, anyway i have seen these on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V...0840484919

does anyone know if these would fit sytraight on to my Berlingo, if not is there anything i can do to make them fit.

One other thing is i currently have 4 decent tyres currently on the car which are 185x65x15 would i be able to put them on to these rims.

Thanks in advance for any help i receive

Not a straight fit. You will need hubcentric spacers to allow for the offset difference to clear inner arches and suspension. Standard Berlingo steel wheel offset is ET15 / ET18, your new wheel is ET27.
My advice would be to pass on those alloys and get at set with the right offset. ( Hubcentrics are roughly £50 a pair ) Your vehicle your choice.
Your tyres are the correct size at 185 65 15.

I have 10mm hubcentric spacers on mine and I've driven about 10,000 miles on them with no problems.
Not an ideal solution but there are very few affordable alloy rims which fit the Berlingo without spacing.

I fitted C4 VTR 17" wheels on mine, a case of having to fit, because of the offset difference, Hubcentrics for my choice of wheel.

Also may be worth pointing out that the price on that Ebay listing is per wheel. 406 & 306 wheels on the Peugeot side should fit straight on whilst you could also pick from C5, Xantia, Xsara & Saxo wheels from the Citroen range to avoid having to get spacers. If you like the look of Golly's wheel choice, you could even get the same pattern (albeit in 16ins & not 17) from a 2004on C5 Exclusive.

All these would most likely cost a lot less than the £560 that those bare 307 wheels would cost & would probably come with tyres too.
2000/X Peugeot 406 110 HDi LX Family 93k to 2000/W BMW 530D SE Auto 84k to 2003/03 Peugeot Partner Escapade 95k

Standard so far

Thanks everyone for your advice so far, i think i will look out for citroen ones then with an offset of 18.

WAUE1978 the listing is for a set of 4 refurbished alloys and i thought they were reasonably cheap compared to some of the tat that is listed on ebay.

Have you asked on ebay about the item ? It says x4 on the title but in the box it shows only quantity 1 with 4 available. The refurbishing alone costs £40 per wheel round here and that is pretty cheap.
So where does this bit go then ?

Hi there, i have messaged the seller to confirm and it is for 4 wheels with no centrecaps, centrecaps are an additional £20.

I not sure why the quantity shows 4 available , i can only presume it means 4 sets of 4 wheels available
