Ignition Fault
#1
Hi guys, Im new here but have been using the french car forum ect

I have the horrible engine light on in our 1.4 2004 lingo

i have got the lexia/proxia software and have read codes and it came up with:

Upstream O2 fault ( does not go when faults are erased)
Downstream O2 fault
and an Ignition Fault

i have been advised that the coil and sparkplugs can bring up antipolution faults like these so i had a look into the dwell parameters on lexia & proxia and this is what i got:

coil for cylinder 1/4 charging time remained stable at 2.5 ms
2/3 charging time was mostly stable at 2.5 but dropped every few seconds to 1.6 ms (this doesn't look right) esp in the graphs

O2 sensors
up stream had a minimum voltage of 0.1 and max of 0.8 (this one fluctuated the most)
downstream had a minimum of 0.7 and a max of 0.9 (remained mostly at 0.8)

ignition advance read from -6.8 to 0.4 at idle and with revs it was 30+ (deg

sparkplugs look ok but tempted to replace them anyway.
they are NGK BKR6E but BKR6EZ are the ones recommended, im not sure of the difference but would like to have the Z ones in.

Cheers Guys
