A quick greeting
#1
Hi all -

Really impolite of me to have posted in 'For Sale' before introducing myself, so here I am to make amends.

Didn't plan it this way, but joining the Forum is effectively a celebration of ten years 'Lingo ownership - two 2.0 HDi s and the recently acquired VTR 7-seater, which you can read about in my other post if you're so inclined.  Don't know whether I'll be able to contribute anything much of use, but time will tell.

Here's my introductory topical tip - grab your little set of Torx bits and nip outside to check that the screws holding the side door and rear windows in place on your 'Lingo First are tight (maybe even applies to the 2nd generation - haven't yet checked).  I've had brackets come completely adrift, but thankfully not an entire window, and it seems the upper fixing on the door window in particular works loose under vibration.  Needs a check once or twice a year.  Of course, a touch of threadlocker would probably sort it permanently, if you have the time.

Cheers
PeteH
