 :brickwall: Adding another dimension, I recently made enquiries about Scangauge11and when I quoted 04 2.0 HDI was told it would not work as it was a light commercial and would not have EOBD implemented. I said it was a car, not the 600 or 900 van, so the response was it should be ok if it was a car to use Scanguage!! Now Scangauge!! can be connected to Scangauge E and that gives mpg etc etc ! Would be interesting to know if Citroen fitted two systems in parallel - Van ( OBD ) Car (EOBD ) to make most of parts stock whilst still complying with EU directives -
The EOBD (European On Board Diagnostics) regulations are the European equivalent of OBD-II, and apply to all passenger cars of category M1 (with no more than 8 passenger seats and a Gross Vehicle Weight rating of 2500 kg or less) first registered within EU member states since January 1, 2001 for petrol (gasoline) engined cars and since January 1, 2004 for diesel engined cars.[8]
For newly introduced models, the regulation dates applied a year earlier - January 1, 2000 for petrol and January 1, 2003 for diesel.
For passenger cars with a Gross Vehicle Weight rating of greater than 2500 kg and for light commercial vehicles, the regulation dates applied from January 1, 2002 for petrol models, and January 1, 2007 for diesel models. quoted from wiky cratch:
( I refer to plugging ScanGE into ScanG11 because my enquiry to the supplier was in reference to using the latter only. No doubt I would have got same answer if I had asked about ScanGE instead )
