It's far nicer for an engine to do high miles per week than low mileage, I don't get the fascination British car buyers have with buying low mileage vehicles! People will jump through hoops to buy a car that's done 4-5k a year over one that's done 15k a year, I'll tell you which ones on overall better condition with the bits you can't see i.e. Internals of engines, suspension, brakes etc providing service intervals have been stuck too Wink

Vauxhall have never been able to make a decent diesel engine - the only decent engines they have are bought in like the Isuzu.

I had the isuzu engine in my old combo ,had it 6 years that engine never missed a beat,slow but got their,only thing I replace was the sump it rusted away,

I know Tree, the only one i remember to be any good was the Mk1 Cavalier and the Calton with the Perkins Diesel (apart from the fact it had NO brakes Huh  

They have truly made some sh1t!

I remember my dads Mk1 "chav"alier 2000 GLS. Went like the clappers that thing but rusted just as fast!
