The law about driving with sliding doors open?

If there are two young children in the rear seat although securely belted in I believe that it would be deemed unacceptable.Smile

Point taken about the kids, Ol Jeffers, we don't have kids was thinking more of mother-in-law. Picture the scene, side door open, remote trigger to release seat belt, fast circuit of roundabout.... Ooops, sorry dear, you mum's gone quiet:whistle::whistle::whistle::lol::lol:

Gosh someone who remembers the old Bedford sliding doors. The difference,I hope, is that with the Bedford if you slid too hard the doors kept on going and fell off onto the floor. I think with Berlingo door it would probably be illegal to keep them open as I'm almost sure the owners manual says not to drive with the doors open. So to do so could be construed as a contravention of explicit manufacturers instructions similar to driving with incorrect tyre pressures. Just my thoughts.

on my berlingo if i drive with a door not shut correctly it keeps beeping and interior lights flash so that would annoy me enough to want to shut them
