So basically i need some all terrain tyres for my berlingo (2004 multispace desire 2.0HDI) currently have firestone tz300a(185/65R15) tyres on but i have been after some all terrains for a long time as i need them for my uses but cant seem to find any in that size. The closest i found is general grabber at3 in 205/70r15 which i underestand is quite alot bigger but they would not be on the car permanantly. only when needed so i was sondering if anyone had tried a similer tyre size on their's.
On a side not a friend suggested i look for "rally tyres" to get a similer style tread in a smaller tyre but i wouldnt know how to search for them.
Thanks for reading, there are a few other matters id like to ask about but been as im new ill try to address them one at a time.

Look for mud and snow or slush rally tyres like Yokohama Advan AO35 or Avon do them. It's not going to be cheap though.
So where does this bit go then ?

Check your insurance company will allow this " modification "
They will likely do so but the onus is on you to notify them if you do so otherwise you risk a non payment of claim which depending on circumstance and peoples involved could be catastrophic for you !

Since when do you have to notify them your changing your tyres?
[/quote]
Since as many decades as I can remember and that is quite a few !
ANY change is notifiable.
Insurance is based upon good faith so without having to type loads to explain let it suffice to say that any breach of this faith will result in non payment when claiming.

My Berlingo takes me to Scenic places ................. Berlingos rock !
P.S. My grandson works in insurance and all the things that applied decades ago still apply now, he also tells me about the more recent stuff too .... they are still tight fisted gits !!
