Apple CarPlay maps crashing

My Apple CarPlay maps keeps crashing, it works fine through the phone but soon as I plug it in it crashes. I’ve tried a few other map apps and they all crash through the apple CarPlay. I also have bad signal problems for the DAB if that links anything?

Dab is nothing to do with car play, are all the apps upto date? Is the phone on the latest version of software? It maybe that the update wasn’t so good for car play users... it’s not unknown for Apple to break stuff as they update things
