side lights !!!!!

Hi Everybody
I have a 51 reg 1.9 diesel (non turbo) 600 van
I need a bit of help
when i put side lights on the brake light come on as well !!
plus when i put the brakes on the side light comes on !!
I have cleaned up the earths on the rear lights but it is still the same
Have any of you ant ideas ?

Have you checked that the lamps are the correct way round in the lamp holders as these have offset pins. :thumbsup:

i have a similar problem I have side light front and rear also a fog light that stays on even when ignition is off I have to disconnect the bateerry every time iu have had some check the earths but they all ok
