Hi guys, I’m looking to change my 508SW for a Blingo MPV and wondered what the most reliable version of the engine is that’s available?

Ideally, looking to buy something secondhand around a year old.

What year did they do away with the 1.6 HDI?

Are the diesel engines, more reliable or economical than the petrol?

I’m interested in purchasing a boot jump, is there a particular model variant that works best?

I need a replacement steering rack - but am struggling to find something compatible.

Are all MK1 racks different?

Sadly this lingo has failed MOT ,so looking for £600 which is less than what I paid for timing belt ,water pump and glow plugs replacement last year

Hi all ,sadly I am selling my berlingo ,it's a non turbo 1.9d ,I've  had it now just under 10 years and I've done 28k so just 2.8 k a year !! I've changed oil and filter every year myself !! I put in an air filter in 5 years ago and it was good for 30k so I was told by seller (local factors),list of jobs done by local garages:- clutch replaced,2 front springs ,2 bottom wishbones ?? New cat , new discs and pads ,new battery and replaced glow plugs and timing belt and water pump 18 months ago!!I have receipts for most of theses jobs !!jobs I haven't done ,floppy gearstick, i tighten it up every month , airbag Iight has a mind of its own,but I undo connectors  under seats now and again ,a minute spring has broken in tail gate lock so only opens with key!!but you can catch it by opening handle straight after fobbing it ,it is also advertised elsewhere!! Sorry having trouble with other pics !! Open to sensible offers !!

2014 Partner 1.6 HDI

I recently had an injector replaced and then noticed that the car was misfiring & knocking occasionally. This seems to have subsided.

I have read that some models need to be driven to 2600 > 1600 rpm so that the ECU can learn to new code parameters.

Is this true for 2014 Partner 1.6 HDI and could a lot of ordinary driving do the same?
