Had a new clutch in my B9 90hp about 2 years ago. Cost £550 all in at Mr Clutch in Dartford. It juddered after they fitted it so they changed it again and then again!! My wife destroys clutches, I think it is near needing another one soon. I've never had to change a clutch when I've been the only driver. My motorbike is now up to 112,000 miles, original clutch.

I wish I could offer anything towards the question you ask Zion but I simply can't - like others my last clutch issue was a long time ago. (Clutch and flywheel on a Transit Luton in 1989, cost £700. The Transit cost £1500 about a month beforehand!)
All I can add is a thought on possible damage limitation (I mean damage to being able to keep on the road) if your £350 guy's offer doesn't work out.
Near my bro in Shropshire there's a scrapyard which has a sideline selling cars brought to them in driveable condition and with a few months MOT for a few hundred pounds - say £200 or so. The idea is you take it back to them when the MOT expires. Maybe there's something like that up your way, which would allow time to get the clutch sorted out comfortably.
Or it might even be worth getting a cheap Berlingo of similar model to yours advertised online, only looking for short term use as is, and then possibly as a spares donor once your main van is back on the road, or even just to be kept as an emergency runabout (could especially be useful if you were as you say, thinking of selling in the near future, allowing you to find your next one at leisure again).
With luck, you might even be able to resell the cheap Berlingo once you have your replacement, and get most or even all your money back. Especially if you do a bit of tidying up to it such as MOT renewal for a sale with 12 months.
Behind both these ideas is a sort of insurance policy thought. Spend moderately on something you didn't think you needed, and in return be able to keep the thing you do need on the road without the bills and the inconvenience getting out of control.

I'm hacked off that I've only done 4k miles on it, if I'd done the full 64k then I wouldn't mind. I take my foot off the clutch between every gear change, having been trained to drive by a Hendon instructor a loooong time ago.
I have to say the £350 sounds pretty good now I hear other folks' experiences.
@old son, what chip do you have?

4k is a lot more than I did in that tranny - but they did see me coming.
I can't help wondering if the 350 is only part of the bill i.e. labour or parts? But even so it is still very good. Have a bottle of Scotch on standby in case you're minded to give it to him afterwards.

Lol, no planes in Hendon PTC
Clarification...my driving instructor was a Traffic Copper, an instructor at Hendon for Area Car drivers in fact. He moonlighted by teaching private clients, of which I was one. Back when a provisional licence was £2 and I got 11 lessons for £55. I passed first shot.

Well you've certainly had some unusually decent training then. I;d better be careful what i say about my truck driving!

I bought it from TDI Tuning in Chelmsford. Definitely improved acceleration but I don't think it has done much for economy. Probably because its driven a bit harder
I have the 90BHP engine, they don't seem to do a module for that engine any more.
By the way, I only managed about 1500 miles before my clutch required replacing. It had a bit of a jerk when I bought it but it just got worse very quickly.

Just my two penneth worth.
I wouldn’t consider this job at less than 5 hours, you need to drop the subframe, so it’s a bit of a job.
An LUK clutch kit or Valeo is going to be £100 give or take tenner + vat.
The gearbox will need fresh gear oil (you wouldn’t put the old back in).
So basically it’s £300 labour £100 clutch & £12 gear oil + vat.
£350 is VERY cheap in my view.
