Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a Berlingo Multispace XTR 16V 2007 model. Over the past few weeks, I built a camper conversion to sleep 2 adults (removable for MOT). As we live in Scotland my primary focus was to have a safe, warm and dry shelter from the elements. Additionally, I still wanted 2 adults to function inside the van if the weather prevented opening the rear tailgate. It has side cupboards, storage bins, a folding table, stove (single burner), a chemical toilet and a cold-water tap and basin with running water. It also has a leisure battery with a split-charge relay. I avoided the common style camper design e.g. Amdro Boot Jump, in favour of an L configuration that allows me the option to enter/exit via the side or rear tailgate. All in all, a mighty mouse package!
I am adding a roof box and a kayak rack this weekend. Then I will only need minor modifications from then on. We spent two days over Easter traveling down the Ayrshire coast and our little van was incredible. We slept like babies.
I look forward to communicating with forum members.
