Switching the auto-locking on does seem to stop the error but I thinks it more to do with the fact it can only display one warning at a time and the auto-locking one shows first.. I'm still going to push the garage for further fixes.

First of all i plan to check if that system works at all . I will decreae manualy tyres one tyre pressure to 1.5 psi and try to make some short ride.. if nothing happen means that system is only for eu regs purposes (on paper)

I had skoda superb 2 with indirect system and even small diffrences between tyres (let say one is 1.6 rest 2.5) its enough to wake up some dahshboard warning ...

Works or not problem persists and needs for sure citroen attention
If you find smth from dealer rtc share here ..i will do the same

I can confirm that the system works on my 2016 xtr. Have not had the car long, the warning came up, I checked the tyres all looked OK, checked at next opportunity and found r/o/s down to 26 psi, reinflated, and continued. 2 days later, same thing happened, checked and same tyre down. Next opportunity I got the wheel off and found a nail like bit of metal embedded in the tyre. Luckily, it could be fixed, so no need for a a new tyre on a month old car. So yes the system works without individual sensors in each wheel, and thankfully does not need a specialist to fix should you get a puncture. As for how it works, computer trickery I suppose, I couldn't see the nail til I removed the wheel, but it sensed the pressure loss.

Definately works, bmw have run it for years with run flats, so not just a gimmick! Tyre pressure monitors in valves suck as they corrode away ala the 407 system Smile

It works by monitoring each wheels speed via the abs sensor, each wheel has a given circumference at its correct pressure, this will reduce as the pressure drops (in cold weather they all drop by the same so circumference does aswell hence it shouldn't effect the system) and so wheel speed for a given distance will increase, if this increases by more than a set amount then it makes an alarm chime up, simple really and effective as long as the margins of error before an alarm aren't too big or small (you need the margin so as tyres wear the virtual circumference changes and it doesn't tell you your tyres are flat! Also the fronts will generally get hotter and therefore gain pressure more than rears with hard driving)
