Intermittent Radio
#1
Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for what may be happening.

I have a 2004 2.0 HDI multispace with the standard CD radio installed. A few weeks ago I started the car but there was no sound. Everything was working as is should; display, steering column controls, cd eject etc - just no sound! About an hour later the sound returned! Since then, it has alternated between no sound and sound at random intervals and for random periods of time.

I suspected a fault with the radio CD and so obtained a replacement which was programmed to the Vin. No luck, the new unit behaved in exactly the same way as the old one!

Any ideas?  Smile

If a second radio behaved in the same manner I would be looking at the audio wiring connector, perhaps the wires have become strained and loose fitting on the back of the radio.
Are we there yet????? Huh

I have checked the immediate wiring and all seems fine and secure!!
