[Engine] Engine advice - Which is best?

So, a little update on my original post.

I have bought (after much soul searching) a 2007 HDi 1.6 turbo diesel 90BHP, all stamps in the service book and currently on 33679 miles.

Hope I have made a good choice and I can confirm its drives fautlessly!

What oil is recommended for these units as I would like to do a service and what else would need doing as a precaution to set me up?

The service history book for your car will probably also show that 5W/40 is ok, but for a low mileage engine like yours the 0W/30 or 5W/30 might be best. Lots of people on here will change the oil & filter at about 6000 miles or twice a year. If you have a search around the forum there will be a few posts on the subject.
Check that the injector clamps are tight (7mm allen key) as they can work a bit loose over time.
