hi ,i have just joined as i need help !!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have bought a 2004 berlingo van, 1.9d 600lx, i have noticed a leak, the drivers footwell is always damp, plus the sponge section that runs alongside the fusebox is also, i checked the rainwater drain and hey presto was rammed full up with gunk, leaves ,pine needles etc, i managed to remove all of this with a rod and watering can to clear , and it now pours through to the wheel arch as supposed to,great !!! the footwell is still damp a week later ?? i just pulled up the carpet as much as i could its absolutley soaking beneath, !!!!could probably allow a small goldfish to live in quite happily ive just removed a good litre or so with a sponge, there isnt much sign of rust or mold etc so im wondering if this is just the backlog of the water i used to drain the well ?? its not dirty water, and ive now propped up the carpet and removed the plug from floor to aid the drying process, the spongey bit by the fusebox is still wet as well and im not sure if water is still getting in ?? ive trawled the net and was wondering if anyone has a solution ?? idea etc as would be most appreciated, thanks, i also have another problem but that can wait as the van is off the road at the moment, any help would be greatly appreciated
