Le car is readier: Front mudflaps (15 min), wind-deflectors (1,5 min) and the front tweeters with own connecting work (1,5 d).
The fact, that le car made already 2800km in 4 weeks tells how I like it. The Venga did 1700km in the first 4 weeks...

Sunny weekend, everybody!

Holiday is over, 3900 km of pur fun so far. Minimun 55 mpg (or max 5,1 l per 100km...)
Last summer the Caddy TSI did about the same driving, only with poor flexibility and horrible AC for the backbenchers. To be fair: the performance of the 1,2 TSI was much better. To be very fair I must remember, the engine broke after 20000km at VW's oil service.

The pic shows Le Car after the post holiday wash and some Auto Glym Extra Gloss. At this point of time no further modifications are planned.

I'll go tomorrow back to work at 27 degrees. That's bad.

Cheers!

Maybe I like her still, at least I have a look at the brunette from my bedroom window and even at work ... Wink

I must say, claying and polish plus Extra Gloss makes the paint like one would expect it from the factory. It's really nice, and even a badly touched pine didn't leave to bad marks on the right back wheel arch / bumper... :brickwall:
So far I'm always good for this kind of personalisation within the first 2 month - and afterwards the condition should normally stay like that.

After a real rough road holiday I don't want to think any longer about 16" summer tyres, the minus in comfort was so bad with the Caddy.
I'm now thinking how to do the winter-wheels. Steel, too, or these summer rubbers on alloys. OZ Lounge 8 are very nice, but not very cheap. And I've no idea how they will look in 15".

15" looks terribly. I had 15" dezent V alloys, so i know what I'm talking about Big Grin 16" is minimum, partner is not a sedan, where 15" alloys looks good.
