What is it?
#1

Hello all.

So, having purchased a 2.0 Berlingo (54) earlier this year, I decided to do some easy repairs myself. I've followed some advice on this site and thought I'd join as a) I need more help and b) hopefully I'd be able to help someone else one day.

Now, I'm no mechanic and as the Haynes manual would grade me: I'm a level 2 spanner. But, I've just managed to avoid giving Halfords £120 for replacing the anti-roll bar droplinks. Last week I changed my washer bottle pump. See, level 2 spanner I tell you.

Now, question: what is the part called in the picture.? It was broken off near the nearside brake disc.

Many thanks

Pricey

Welcome to the forum

It will help if a little more info if possible is given .

What material is IT made of ? Rubber, plastic or metal or whatever and approx. what size is IT ?
Has IT or the lack of IT affected your brakes?

With the Berlingo that you have you will find they are relatively easy to maintain yourself and you soon learn its quirks. You'll be a master Berlingoman (3hammers) in no time.

I think it maybe a heatproof cover for the abs sensor. But can't seem to find such part.

Hi brodfather

Thanks for the welcome. The material is phenolic heatproof. It is around an 2 inch long an inch wide and an inch tall. It is screwed on but has broken away from the screw. It is an heat shield cover of some sort. Think it might be covering the Abs sensor if that is what it is.

Thanks: I've still got a lot to learn before my grade 3 spannerConfusedtudy:
