I will have to wait until 2072 for my M59 to be tax and MOT exempt Not too long to go...
Currently vehicles become exempt when they're 40 years old, so your 2007 M59 will do so in 2047 (assuming the rules don't change). My M49 will qualify in 2041, which would be a relief - the tax cost me £295 last year, and will no doubt go over £300 this year....

There we are folks !! just had my tax reminder for six months £176 woulb you believe it !!gone up £20 from the last six months !! i think they are trying to tax these old diesels off the road ,but its passing emissions test with MOT,ps,£20 is a bit too much to be honest, !!anyone else ????

Strange - I was built in 1962 but still pay tax!
