Whining after revs

I have a 2007 1.6hdi, and i notice that when i rev it hi and let of i can hear something spinning. Any ideas what it is and is it normal ?

I'd guess it's the turbocharger. How hi are you revving it?

I rev it nearly to the limiter, its just i never heard it before and i hope its not something going on it. Appart from that the van go's great, plenty of power

Why do you rev it so high?

Only done it 3 times, wanted to see how high it would go. Usally i keep it below 2500rpm

Does it only whine when you hit the limiter/top end of the revs?

If it does, i wouldn't worry!

Yes its only when 5k revs or so
