I would have thought that the Fun Prevention Officer would approve of chopping in the Freelander given that you are likely to be saving a small fortune in the long-run, whatever you end up spending on the Blingo. Are you looking for a Multispace or a van?

Have a search on the forum regarding different specs and options as personally, I think that some of them can make a big difference to yours (or the family's) enjoyment if you are talking about a Multispace.

It's the Multispace I'm after - I'll eventually be taking it with me when I move back to Spain, and the Spanish won't let you import vans.

As for savings it should work out at around £40-50 per week in fuel alone, plus cheaper road tax, tyres, etc. so my missus is coming round to the idea quite rapidly

You´re right there - I´ve had a look at a few and it does make a difference. I´ve settled on a 2005 2.0HDi Desire which I collect next weekend. High mileage(ish) with a few bumps & scrapes but should do what I want :thumbsup:

We're still happy with ours even though the forte spec. is not quite as high as the desire
