1. Eco Mod was first thing I noticed. It is a pain. If you leave things on long enough to run the battery flat, then you need a bus pass; not a driving licence!
2. The pedals are too close together.
3. Possible expensive turbo failure.
4. French electrics.
But....
I really like it! Would definately have another in the future. :thumbsup:

One other thing, if you switch off the ignition with the wipers on, then get back in you would expect the wipers to operate from what ever position the switch is at. But no, you have to move the wiper switch to a new position and than back to the desired position to get the wipers going. The wipers seem to default to the off position when the ignition is switched off no matter what position the switch is at.

Ever had your wipers on in the winter time and returned home and forgot to switch them off? The next morning after a hard frost, you jump in and start the engine & the wiper motor tries to rip the rubbers off the arms. illyme:

I remember as a child kettles that didn't switch off - Scotch mist billowing out of the kitchen door.

Although never tried it...
If you switch the ignition off then flick the main beam, the headlights stay on for one minute to 'guide you home'.

All night, if you want them too....

My Mk 3 when you turn the key off the lights go off and then turn on when I start the car.
Haven't tried the wipers yet though.

I like this feature as I very often don't switch the lights off at all through the winter.

Yes, the power steering does feel very light at lower speeds and anything not straight ahead. Also on the XTR the damned central console that has the gearstick in is too bulky on the drivers side as I like to let my left leg rest too the left. I rather miss the two storage pockets in the rear I had in the Mk 2. There must be space behind the trim panel. The 'pocket' on the top of the dash on the passenger side is a waste of time for anything light weight as it just slides out on bends. Heaven help you if you put something in nit of value and leave the window open!!! Also with the drivers window partly down when it is raining and your driving the water drips in. Apart from that OK but I do miss my Mk 2 Hdi Modutop apart from the inferior MPG in comparison with the 1.6 diesel in the XTR.
